Angela Shen-Hsieh, President and CEO

As President and CEO of Visual i|o, Angela Shen-Hsieh combines a business edge with a passion for visual communication and innovative design. In leading Visual i|o since 2000, Angela has delivered consistent profitability while developing product and service models that link information technology to advances in management and decision theory. Inspired by her training in architecture and a vision for the way in which design can dramatically improve the quality of our lives, she and Visual i|o are exploding the boundaries of how people interact with information by delivering highly innovative tools for modeling and navigating data.

In its June 2004 issue on Design, Fast Company magazine profiled Angela as one of four rising stars "charting the future" of business and design innovation. Angela holds a Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and a BA in Architecture from Barnard College, Columbia University. She sits on several boards, and lectures frequently on issues related to design, business and data visualization.

 

Mark Schindler, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer

Through his role directing new product development, Mark Schindler has consistently produced innovative approaches to representing data and delivering targeted expert solutions.

Previously, he directed consulting operations as partner at Schindler + Associates, Inc. Prior to that, Mark was Marketing Communications Manager at Macmillan Software Company, a scientific analytics and data visualization software company. He holds a Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he was the recipient of the AIA Certificate of Merit and the John E. Thayer Prize. He also holds an AB in Chemistry, Magna cum Laude, from Dartmouth College. A recognized expert in data visualization, Mark lectures and writes frequently on the topic.

 

Mahesh Pai, Vice President of Engineering

Mahesh Pai leads Visual i|o's development function. His team of engineers programmers is responsible for designing and delivering world-class interactive visual reporting solutions.

Mahesh is the former VP Engineering of IntraLinks Inc., a market leader in SaaS solutions for document-based business collaboration with more than 3,500 clients - including over 100 of the world's largest financial institutions and 7 out of 10 largest pharmaceutical firms. As a key player in the growth of the company, Mahesh was responsible for executing many critical initiatives. During his tenure, IntraLinks grew from $12 million in revenues in 2000 to $120 million in 2007.

 

Jose Roy, Vice President of Sales

Jose Roy leads Visual i|o's sales team and brings 15 years of technology sales and sales management experience to Visual i|o's management team. As VP of Sales and Operations at Psytechnics, a UK-based Software Company, he built a new US-based sales organization that achieved over $10M in sales within the first 2 years.

Jose has built and managed sales teams all over the world, and brings expertise in successfully implementing sales process, methodology and account planning. In regional and worldwide sales management roles at Concord Communications (acquired by Computer Associates) and Cabletron Systems, he built a track record turning around underperforming regions, generating positive revenue growth and exceeding sales goals.
